Here's our monthly to do list:
-
Spring is right around the corner and this month we are focusing on planning for the up coming growing season.
-
Now is the time to start thinking about your vegetable garden, especially if you live in the southern part of the country. Check out our vegetable garden page for more information on starting a new garden and also a list of some of our favorite homegrown fare.
-
It is also time to start browsing those perennial and flower seed catalogs and placing orders for the spring. Our perennials page has lots of helpful information and our retailer’s guide can provide you with lots of places to order more information, plants, and other landscape materials.
-
Now is also the time to apply your first fertilization of the year for flower beds and lawns. PIck up a good pre-emergent fertilizer at your local home store for your lawn and use compost in flower and vegetable beds. This early feeding is a really shot in the arm for your new spring growth. Check out our new perennials page for more information on developing a long lasting flower garden.
